The amazing Melbourne born label, Tettmann.Doust and their Spring Summer 12/13 collection preview. Hosted at projection installation artist, Yandell Walton’s creative hub.
Not entirely sure why I didn’t post this sooner here seeing as I posted it up on my personal tumblr 2 months ago as seen above. Nonetheless, I thought you peeps deserve some pretty pictures and a lovely reminder of the beautiful local Melbourne label, Tettmann.Doust.
‘Corpus Ephemera embraces the anatomic elements and eccentric attitude from their first collection, Aves Insecta, and has stripped it back into a more delicate and whimsical series of elegance and sophistication.’
If you want to know more about their lovely collection, you can have a read of my full article up on Milk Bar Magazine here.

The Melbourne Spring Fashion Week’s program kicked off last week, revealing their glorious 2012 program and campaign. This year is the festival’s 18th anniversary, with some new & fresh initiatives that will be no doubt, an exciting and innovative series of events.
I’m very much looking forward to the Designer Series Runway #1, which includes notable designers such as Aurelio Costarella, Lui Hon and Ellery, whose designs embody exquisite, sartorial perfection.
The Designer Series Runway #4 is also at the top of my list, with some of my staple favourites - Alpha60, Alice McCall and We Are Handsome. This is definitely going to be an eclectic runway show that is definitely not to be missed.
I am also super keen to check out the Tomorrow’s Heroes Runway, which will celebrate the new generation of fashion-makers in the industry nationally, as well as the RMIT Student Runway which is always inspiring, exciting and fresh.
Finally, I will no doubt be in attendance at the MSFW High Tea because you just cannot argue with macaroons and a Great Gatsby theme.
Have you penciled in your dates yet?

Speaking of seeing, I am seeing lots of matching tops and bottoms together this season. AND LOVING IT. Dare to try the head-to-toe print?

I was lucky enough to attend New Zealand designer, Kylee Davis’s autumn/winter collection preview the other week!
Her new collection “Winsome Jackie Winter” is full of beautifully handcrafted knits that are far from your moth eaten, daggy granny’s woolen jumper. She uses a variety of different types of high quality yarns that are so unexpectedly soft and would never dare make you itch.
She only makes 15 pieces per style so better get in quick before you’re left shivering in the cold this winter.

I know he’s an asshole, but Warhol continues to inspire me all of the time with his words. Although love is nothing I have fantasise about…!

lonely hearts pays homage to the 90s.
i’m obsessed with the era of teen spirit. and anything that advocates underwear as outwear.
reasons why the alexander mcqueen clutch is on top of my wishlist:
1. it’s practical (would i ever lose this on a night out? the answer is no as it will be surgically attached to my person by its delicious hardware at all times, no putting your bag down because it’s getting in the way of your dance moves. i bet you never thought you could accessorize the jersey shore fist pump, well you can)
2. you save money (not only is it a clutch but it has rings attached - if you bought another bag, you would have to purchase complimentary accessories. really this is an investment)

iggy azalea proving that white girls can rap.
check out the amazonian australian’s shoes in her my world video.
Harper Smith’s photographs remind me of our soon-to-become-reality ‘Americana’ road trip we are planning here at ClydeTuesdays. His images are effortless and surreal, a world of beautifully perfected flaws on lens - my favourite kind of photography. He experiments with all sorts of mediums, with his portfolio often juxtaposing the clean-cut with the rough & raw across vast landscapes. Lovely!

hey tarantino, i can’t decide if your foot fetish is getting out of hand.
barefeet: either too hipster or too homeless to wear shoes.
either way, we’ll be rocking it this summer on the great american road trip.

The Lake and Stars Spring/Summer Campaign 2011: The Art of Communal Living. This is the kind of lingerie that cult fanatics favor. Subdued pastels keeps ritualistic undressing kinda classy. Love this collection; am going to be wearing it at the next secret society meeting x jade
New Zealand cult label, Stolen Girlfriends Club’s AW12 campaign imagery screams sex from all different angles. Fur, swords, lace and some suggestive housekeeping, who knew that pouring homebrand cornflakes all over yourself could look this sexy?
