This year is the festival’s 18th anniversary, with some new & fresh initiatives that will be no doubt, an exciting and innovative series of events.  I’m very much looking forward to the Designer Series Runway #1, which includes notable designers such as Aurelio Costarella, Lui Hon and Ellery, whose designs embody exquisite, sartorial perfection.  The Designer Series Runway #4 is also at the top of my list, with some of my staple favourites - Alpha60, Alice McCall and We Are Handsome.   • I was lucky enough to attend New Zealand designer, Kylee Davis’s autumn/winter collection preview the other week!  Her new collection “Winsome Jackie Winter” is full of beautifully handcrafted knits that are far from your moth eaten, daggy granny’s woolen jumper. She uses a variety of different types of high quality yarns that are so unexpectedly soft and would never dare make you itch. She only makes 15 pieces per style so better get in quick before you’re left shivering in the cold this winter. x anne
